Torrance is President of Private Banking at Boston Private and a member of the Bank’s Board of Directors. He is responsible for representing the Bank with respect to all major constituents, including clients, employees and Board members/shareholders. In addition, he oversees regional business results and ensures the appropriate allocation of resources across the region for continued growth.
Torrance is Chairman of the National Sales Management and Incentive Development Committee (SMIDCO), created to assume overall sales direction and implementation for Boston Private. He is also responsible for the Sales and Relationship Management Group, Cash Management Sales, the Banking Offices and Client Support for the East Coast and the Sales Incentive program for the Deposit Management Group nationally.
Prior to joining the Bank in 2007, he was President for Bank of America’s Community Bank division.
He holds an MBA Northeastern University and BS Boston University.
Torrance is a member of the Partnership C Suite Program in Boston Freedom Houses Champion of Freedom event, the Urban Financial Services Coalition, and is former Chairman of Boston Main Streets Foundation, the Bank’s early career professionals mentor program.
