Ryan McQuilkin

As the Head of Fixed Income at Boston Private Wealth, Mr. McQuilkin is responsible for formulating and communicating the firm’s fixed income strategy. In this role, he manages fixed income portfolios for individuals, families, nonprofit organizations, and institutional accounts. In addition, he is a key contributor to security credit analysis and the trading of taxable and tax-exempt fixed income securities. Mr. McQuilkin is a member of the Investment Policy Committee and the Asset Allocation Committee. He is also a member of Boston Private Bank’s Asset/Liability Investment Sub-Committee.

Prior to this position, Mr. McQuilkin managed fixed income portfolios for Boston Private Wealth, both as a Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and as a Fixed Income Specialist.  Mr. McQuilkin previously worked at US Trust Wealth Management, where he was a Fixed Income Trader responsible for the trading and analysis of Treasuries, Agencies, and Corporate Bonds.  Mr. McQuilkin held prior roles within financial services at Columbia Management and State Street Corporation.

Mr. McQuilkin received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a concentration in statistics from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He is also a Certified Financial PlannerTM.
