Lizabeth H. Zlatkus

Lizabeth H. Zlatkus is a Board Director of Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. (BPFH), AXIS Capital Holdings, Limited, (AXS), and SE-2. She previously served on the Boards of Indivior, Plc, Computer Sciences Corp, and Legal & General Group, Plc.

Zlatkus held varied senior leadership positions during her 28-year tenure at The Hartford Financial Services Group. These included her role as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of the Firm, as well as Co-President of Hartford Life Insurance Companies. She ran two of the largest divisions of the firm, including the international division which encompassed operations in Japan, Brazil, Ireland and the UK.

Zlatkus has been recognized for her professional achievements and contributions to the community including recognition by the White House for her work with people with disabilities. She was named one of the top 100 women executives by Business Insurance magazine, named to the Women Worth Watching List by the Profiles in Diversity Journal, listed as one of Eight Remarkable Women by the Hartford Business Journal, was the cover feature for CFO Magazine, and was awarded the Community Leader of the Year by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Connecticut Chapter. Zlatkus served as Regulatory Chair for the North American Chief Risk Officers Council. She was a member on the Hewlett Packard Financial Services Board of Advisors and the LOMA Board of Directors.

She is Vice and Development Chair of the Connecticut Science Center Trustee Board, after serving as Finance and Investment Chair. She recently served as a Trustee of the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame. She is a member of the Penn State Business School Board, previously serving as Chair.

Zlatkus graduated with distinction from The Pennsylvania State University in 1981, was selected as an Alumni Fellow in 2003, and served as the commencement speaker for the business school in 2013.
