Kim Foster joined the bank in 2016 as a Commercial Lender. Kim has spent most of her 25 year career building relationships and helping small to medium size, privately-held, businesses with their working capital needs.
She began her banking career at Shawmut Bank in 1986 where she spent 10 years in the Asset Based Lending Division. Kim left the bank when it merged with Fleet Bank to start and develop a specialized lending group at Medford Savings Bank. She successfully grew the loan portfolio in the bank’s target market over a 9 year period until its merger with Citizen’s Bank. Subsequently, Kim spent two years as a consultant working with a local Boston firm that specialized in assisting troubled businesses with developing and implementing turnaround plans.
More recently, Kim spent the last 12 years at Massachusetts Growth Capital, a quasi-public agency. There, she made subordinated, cash-flow loans consistent with the fund’s mission to help solve a variety of cash flow challenges and finance the “gap” that is often created by undercapitalized, fast growing, privately held companies. Kim holds a BS degree in Business/Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Isengberg School of Management, Amherst, MA. She is an active member at SBANE and in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore Chamber of Commerce.
