John McGuinness joins Boston Private

We are pleased to announce the addition of John McGuinness III to the Boston Private team.

Mr. McGuinness joined us on November 4 as a Relationship Manager based in our New York office. He will be responsible for providing holistic wealth management solutions to high-net-worth individuals, family offices, endowments and foundations.

Mr. McGuinness brings more than 30 years of wealth management experience, serving in senior leadership positions and in a client advisory capacity. Prior to joining Boston Private, Mr. McGuinness was a Private Banker with Citi Private Bank, advising some of the wealthiest families on their asset and liability management as well as their legacy planning considerations.

Before his time with Citi, Mr. McGuinness held similar roles at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, including serving as National Sales Executive for the company’s wealthiest clients through its Family Wealth Advisors Group. Prior to that, he led Bank of America’s Private Bank in New York, managing all aspects of the company’s banking, advisory, investment and fiduciary service offering to its wealthy clients. Mr. McGuinness also held the roles of Executive Vice President at PNC Advisors and President of The Putnam Trust Company, Bank of New York’s Connecticut-based trust and commercial bank.

Mr. McGuinness graduated from Providence College with a BA in Humanities.
