Rich Byron serves as the firm’s Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing the Operations, Client Services, and Portfolio Advisory Services areas of Boston Private Wealth.
Mr. Byron is also Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Strategic Initiatives at Boston Private Financial Holdings (BPFH). In this role, Mr. Byron leads corporate level projects that are aimed at driving revenue growth, managing cost and mitigating risk. He led the merger/integration of BPFH’s four banks into Boston Private Bank & Trust Company in 2011-12. Mr. Byron is a member of BPFH’s Leadership Team and has more than 20 years of experience in process improvement and automation, primarily in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining Boston Private in 2007, Mr. Byron was a Director in PwC’s Financial Services Advisory consulting practice, where his clients included some of the world’s largest and most prestigious financial institutions. He served as the Lead Director of the Northeast Process Improvement/Data Management team of 50 professionals, where he led national and global projects in the United States, Australia, and Continental Europe. He led PwC’s multi-national team in a pro-bono response to the United Nations and its relief agencies in the immediate aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami.
