David Bottoms has more than 40 years of experience successfully managing investment portfolios for clients throughout the world. David also contributes his vast knowledge of investing, law, and trust services as a member of the Advisory Board of Boston Private Wealth.
David was the Founder and CEO of Oaktree Asset Management in New York City, which managed $250 million in assets for high net worth clients.
David has acted as a trustee for various trusts and as president of Laidlaw Holdings Asset Management in New York City. Previously, he was a partner at Lord, Day & Lord in NYC, and was a practicing attorney for over 25 years.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jerusalem Foundation of New York and the Barge Music, New York and he has taught “Portfolio Management” at the New York Institute of Finance.
David received a BA from the College of William & Mary and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review.
