Andrew Donahue has over 25 years of experience partnering with high net worth individuals, families, and institutions to help them define their financial and investment goals and ensure that their assets are invested with the purpose of achieving those objectives.
Andy has a passion for working with clients who are looking for help on planning for their changing life events. Whether it’s selling a business, planning for retirement, or setting up a trust for the next generation, Andy can advise clients on finding the best solutions for their situation.
Andy works with many executives and business owners. He especially understands the unique needs of executives at publicly-traded companies, providing guidance on how to handle restricted securities, exercise corporate stock options in a tax sensitive way, manage and diversify concentrated stock positions, and navigate deferred compensation plans.
Prior to joining Boston Private Wealth, Andy was a Regional Director at SEI Investments for 13 years, helping financial advisors form independent practices and often directly assisting clients whose unique needs required a sophisticated approach to transitioning assets to SEI. Before joining SEI, Andy was a financial advisor and sales manager with Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney.
Andy received his bachelor’s degree in History from Dartmouth College in 1989.
